ABOUT
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Caitlin Toohey is an operatic soprano with a Bachelor of Music (Music Performance) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. She is currently a Resident Emerging Artist at the Australian Contemporary Opera Company (ACOCo) under the patronage of Tom and Ruth O'Dea. In 2022, she was a semi-finalist in the 98th Herald Sun Aria and placed second in the Armstead Award. In the 2022 Acclaim Italian Opera Awards, she was the winner of both the Audience Award and the Ambassadorial Scholarship Award. From 2019-2021 she was the recipient of the Peter and Melissa Hebbard Scholarship with Opera Scholars Australia. Caitlin regularly performs at concerts and private events.
